The IDE is developed to support the distribution of classified documents and real-time processing on an encrypted network. The IDE was designed making use of Java Servlet and Java Server Pages (JSP) technology in a J2EE environment. It is powered by an SQL database with an Apache Tomcat web server hosted on the same computer system. Currently the IDE web portal houses over 5,000 documents from nine different programs.
